2016 SUMMARY AND COMPARISONS

PRIME SPORTS REPORT

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PICKS

SUMMARY OF 2016 RESULTS

SUCCESS COMPARISON TO OTHER SITES

Prime Sports Report picked college football games for the 2016 season using spreads from covers.com. We picked all the games for which they offered spreads and that is all we picked. We judged our picking success based on the final spread for the game. We may have missed some games due to issues on the covers.com site or through our own mix-up but they would not be that many.

We wanted to show our results and also to compare how we did against other sites that offer up their predictions – College Football Poll.com; Team Rankings.com; and Oddshark.com. Some offer for free – like College Football Polls.com – and some charge a fee for their predictions – Team Rankings. Why pay for picks when we give them for FREE.  Some use computers and computer algorithms to make picks – LIKE ALL OF THEM – and some make picks based on knowledge but not all games – like CBS and Covers.com. We did compare our predictions against CFN – College Football News which is a great site, but we messed up in not saving their final pick results. We will keep the records of all the other sites backed up so we have comparisons for 2017.

PSR wants to be able to illustrate that our knowledge based predictions turn out better than computer algorithms and predictions by sites that have people who make picks that would not know the difference between a football and a meatball. We know our football through playing experience – granted high school in this case – but we know. All the other sites use the computer or ‘experts’ that have never played at all. We believe we are the better prognosticators in all the major sports and we will show it. Even better than CFN.

PSR will be the ‘go to’ site for people who want to compare their prediction skill against.

That said, in advance of the 2017 College Football Season, here are our results and comparisons for 2016.
