So, I called it! Predators in the final.
I saw it coming. Put all my shekels on them to get to the Stanley Cup final. An easy upset win over Chicago. An even easier victory over the Blues, and a quick sail past the lame Ducks.
(No doubt the gentle reader has noted the sarcasm. Who knew? Nobody called it.)
In just a few short days, they will raise The Cup. Subban hoisting the jug with a wink to the Hab fans and Bergeron. Can’t wait for the media frenzy when Subban brings the cup to the Children’s Hospital in Montreal.
Well………..,
the last part of the Preds journey still to be written, but why not?? The best defense anchored by Conn Smyth candidate Pekka Rinne. A very balanced group of forward lines. No real stars, but good balance and well coached.
But enough to beat the Penguins??? Nope.

The will of Sid will prevail. Too much high-end talent to keep from winning over 7 games. It will go 7 games, because the Pens defense is banged up, but they will prevail. And because this is what is expected (we are talking Crosby and Malkin) this is why you should put all your money on the Preds. The hockey Gods seem to be residing on their bench. The guy with 2017 on his back – that guy. Don’t bet against him.
